Where to Find Us (normally!)
In non-Covid times, we hold weekly Thursday meetings from 7.30pm at the Cotswold Bowls Club from September to May and have a varied programme of competitions with guest judges, talks and lectures, and practical evenings. Now that we are unable to hold physical meetings, we are doing everything on Zoom.  Thank goodness for Zoom!  It’s working remarkably well and we are STILL enjoying a lively programme of illustrated talks and competitions.

In the middle of the year between May and September, Summer Club swings into action.
In “normal” times, this is an informal get together which takes place every Thursday evening throughout the summer. Each week we explore and photograph our wonderful county and end the evening somewhere sociable.  During lockdown, Summer Club took the form of an informal, fun competition via Zoom, with a different challenge set each week by our Chairman, Roger, choosing themes such as macro, portrait, landscape, nature etc.  Again, this proved a popular and successful format, although we really hope to be able to revert to our outdoors get-togethers again this year.  Fingers crossed!

We are always keen to welcome new members and several have joined us in the last few weeks despite lockdown, and they’ve all been enthusiastically joining in via Zoom each Thursday evening.

If you too would like to join us, we’d love to hear from you, so please send an email to

For the record, our normal meeting place is Cotswold Bowls Club, Golden Jubilee Way, Dudbridge, Stroud. GL5 3HQ.

Membership fees for 2021/2022 Season, Commencing September 2021
We have been operating a £10 annual subscription for the last few months during lockdown when we have been doing everything via Zoom.  We have enjoyed some excellent speakers and some brilliant competitions during this time and the Committee has suggested (approved by members at the AGM) that from the start of the new Season in September we will revert to the full annual membership fee of £32.00 for the full season with an additional payment of £2.00 for each meeting attended. This covers the hire of our meeting room and payment of our speakers. (Summer Club meetings are a bonus for members who have paid their subscription during the season and there is no charge to members for attending). After Christmas, as has become traditional, the membership fee reduces to £16 for the remainder of the season although the £2 for each meeting attended will still apply.
